ICHIKAWA FISHING SP OFFSET HOOK

The Ichikawa Fishing SP Offset Hook (Soft Plastic Hook) is a technique-specific Japanese premium offset hook designed especially for moving soft plastics not ordinary Texas-rig bottom worms. Ichikawa officially states this SP model was engineered for swimbaits, buzz frogs, and soft jerkbaits, using a longer-than-normal offset neck that keeps plastics pinned in position through repeated violent jerks and hundreds of casts without constantly sliding down the shank.

Unlike oversized wide-gap hooks that can make plastics shift unnaturally, the SP uses a carefully balanced gap, bend angle, and hook point angle for cleaner bait tracking, fewer snags, and easier bite penetration. It also features a heavy wire frame for casting weightless plastics farther and handling larger fish, plus Ichikawas slick PTFE / IHPF coating for extremely fast hook penetration. Available sizes are commonly 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 5/0, and 7/0 in packs of 4 to 7 depending on size.
