Backslide technique for hard-to-reach hotspots
The backslide rig is particularly exciting: the increased salt content gives the bait a high dead weight, so that it sinks backwards. Rigged backwards on an offset hook, the SCR glides away from the angler as it sinks directly under overhanging branches, boats or jetties, i.e. exactly into the hiding places where large predators lie in wait for their prey.
